Our roots date back to 1962, when Ryoji Yamaguchi established a woodworking studio in Fukui, Japan. Located in a region renowned for Echizen lacquerware for over 1,500 years, the studio developed its expertise through decades of craftsmanship. Today, Hacoa combines these traditional woodworking skills with contemporary design to create products that bring the warmth and beauty of natural wood into everyday life.
