Important Assembly and Heat Notice
This product is supplied as an assembly kit and is not pre-glued. Please assemble the eight wooden pieces using the included adhesive and confirm that all joints are secure before use. Do not place cookware on the trivet immediately after removing it from very high heat, as temperatures above approximately 150°C (302°F) may scorch the wood or create a fire risk.
A Wooden Trivet Inspired by a Bird’s Nest
Nest is a sculptural wooden trivet for people who want an everyday kitchen tool to feel as thoughtfully designed as the tableware around it.
Eight pieces of natural wood come together like branches in a bird’s nest, creating an open form that supports everything from a small teapot to a larger pot while bringing warmth to the table.
Eight Pieces Form One Sculptural Shape
Nest is constructed from eight wooden pieces of different lengths, carefully shaped to interlock at precisely angled joints.
The overlapping structure creates balanced spaces between the pieces, giving the trivet a light architectural appearance while providing practical support for cookware of different shapes and sizes.
Designed for Pots, Teapots, and Everyday Serving
The open nest-like shape accommodates a wide range of cookware rather than being designed around a single pot diameter.
Use it beneath a teapot during a quiet coffee break, place a serving pot at the center of the dining table, or bring a Japanese donabe directly to a shared meal once it has cooled to a safe temperature.
Assemble It Yourself and Make It Part of the Story
Nest arrives as a kit, allowing you to experience how its eight wooden pieces come together before it becomes part of your table.
Fit the pieces together like a small wooden puzzle and secure the joints with the included adhesive. The simple act of assembling it creates a stronger connection to an object that will later become part of everyday meals.
Natural Wood Brings Warmth to the Table
Real Maple or Walnut gives Nest a warmth and texture that synthetic trivets cannot reproduce.
The natural grain softens the appearance of metal pots and ceramic cookware, allowing the trivet to remain visually pleasing even when it is left on the table between meals.
Choose Bright Maple or Rich Walnut
Maple and Walnut give the same sculptural form two distinctly different characters.
Maple has a bright, clean appearance with a gentle grain, while Walnut features a deeper brown color and richer contrast. Choosing the wood that best suits your table or kitchen adds a personal element to the piece.
Every Nest Has Its Own Natural Grain
Because genuine natural wood is used, every Nest has its own grain, color, and subtle variations.
No two pieces look exactly the same, and the product you receive may differ slightly from the photographs. These differences are part of the character of real wood rather than imperfections.
Unfinished Wood That Can Be Refreshed
Nest is intentionally left unfinished, allowing you to feel the natural texture of the wood directly.
If a stain remains after gentle cleaning, the surface can be lightly sanded to reveal fresh wood beneath. This makes it possible to care for the trivet rather than replacing it simply because its appearance has changed.
Natural Wood That Changes with Everyday Use
Wood gradually develops subtle changes in tone and character through light, handling, and everyday life.
As Nest becomes part of shared meals and daily routines, those changes give it a more familiar presence. Rather than remaining perfectly uniform, the natural material becomes more personal with time.
From Kitchen Tool to Table Object
Nest is designed to remain visually appealing even when it is not supporting a hot pot.
Its geometric arrangement of interlocking branches gives it the presence of a small wooden object, so it can stay on the dining table or kitchen counter instead of being hidden away after every meal.
Japanese Design Inspired by Nature
Nest reflects Hacoa’s approach to turning the natural character of wood into functional objects for everyday life.
The bird’s-nest concept is expressed through structure rather than decoration: eight simple pieces form a practical object whose shape is defined by the material itself.
A Thoughtful Gift for a New Home
A natural wood trivet makes a practical gift for someone who enjoys cooking, thoughtful tableware, and distinctive objects made from real materials.
It is especially suitable for housewarmings, weddings, new kitchens, or anyone who enjoys Japanese and Scandinavian-inspired interiors. Choosing Maple or Walnut allows the gift to reflect the recipient’s style while remaining useful for everyday meals.
Designed to Be Used and Cared For
Nest is an object intended to stay in the kitchen rather than be treated as a short-lived accessory.
Its simple wooden construction, repairable unfinished surface, and timeless form make it easy to keep using as kitchens, cookware, and interior styles change over the years.
Heat and Safety Considerations
Always use Nest on a stable, level surface and confirm that the assembled joints are secure before placing cookware on it.
Do not move the trivet while a hot pot or pan is resting on it. Cast-iron cookware can exceed approximately 150°C (302°F) immediately after being removed from a heat source, which may scorch the wood or create a risk of ignition, so allow extremely hot cookware to cool before placing it on Nest.
Keep the product away from open flames and other sources of fire.
Cleaning and Care
If cleaning is necessary, rinse the wood briefly with water rather than soaking it for an extended period.
After washing, wipe away moisture thoroughly with a dry cloth and allow the product to dry naturally in the shade. Do not use a dishwasher or dish dryer, as heat and moisture may cause warping or cracking.
Avoid prolonged direct sunlight and environments with extreme changes in temperature or humidity.
